The Funeral Service for Zera Barnett Burns Howard, 96, of Simcoe, will be 11AM, Friday, February 17, 2023 at Cullman Funeral Home.  The visitation will be 10-11am prior to the service.  Rev. Bobby Crawford and Rev. Layne Howard will officiate the service.  The interment will be in the Simcoe Methodist Cemetery.

Mrs. Howard was born June 15, 1926, to John Walter and Emma Francis Scott Barnett.   She passed away from this life on February 12, 2023, at her residence.  She was an avid gardener who loved nature and birds.  She also enjoyed Sacred Harp Music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Walter and Emma Francis Scott Barnett; her husbands, J. V. Burns, and William Earl Howard; her son, Tony Burns; numerous brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Howard is survived by her nieces, Elizabeth Osborn, Dianne Sorrow, Sandra Crider, Glenda Troutman, Rita Feldkamp, Sherry Irvin, Melinda McElroy, Cheryl Kellerher; nephew, Dudley Barnett; step-children, Earlene Watts, Melanie Lambert, Robin Howard, Layne Howard, Mahlon Howard; special friends, Tabitha Holland and Ann Gaines; and a host of step-grandchildren, family and friends.
