Graveside service for William Luther Maddux, age 95, of Cullman, is Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 2 p.m.at Cullman City Cemetery, with Bro. Stanley Kilgore officiating.

Mr. Maddux, known by all as Bill, was born April 23, 1929, to Carl Maddux and Mary Knight Maddux.  He passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 72 years, Florence Bartlett Maddux; two sons, Michael Lee Maddux, and Mark Maddux; daughters, Diane (Warren) Corbin, Janet (Wes) Mattox, Kelly (Stephen) Heatherly; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Bill was a good Christian husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great-grandfather.  Family remembers him as a loving and hard-working man.  He worked at Hayes Aircraft and Pemco for fifty years.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
