Funeral service for Susie Mae Linton Estes, 88, a long-time resident of the Brooklyn community in Cullman County, will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jeremy Collier and Rev. Larry Nail officiating, with interment in Brooklyn Cemetery.

Mrs. Estes passed away Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 after a brief illness. She was born April 25, 1936 in Cullman, Alabama to Otto Calvin and Lola Adams Linton.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Talmadge (Pat) Estes; an infant son, Michael James Estes; her parents and four (4) brothers and sisters; Clarence Linton, Beatrice Linton Chambers, Cecil Linton, and Polly Linton Evans.
Survivors include a son, Ronald (Kathy) Estes of Cullman; a daughter, Jan (Scott) Rester of Mountain Brook; her brother, Morris (Alice) Linton; her sister-in-law, Sue Linton; four grandchildren, Sarah Estes, Christopher Rester, Jonathan Estes, and Haley (Brandon) Allie; two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Mrs. Estes was employed by Kids Duds Industries, Woodland Nursing Home, and Dollar General while also helping to support the family dairy farm. Following her retirement, she enjoyed gardening, staying in contact with her high-school friends, and caring for her family. Susie was a member of Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church.
