Sonya Creel White, of Cullman, AL, passed away in her home on February 25, 2023 at the age of 45 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. She loved her family and friends deeply, sunflowers, butterflies, and her dogs. Sonya's love of life didn't come to an end with her death, and she did not let her cancer diagnosis slow her down. She was determined to have her vow renewal to the love of her life, Cody, just 5 days before her passing after celebrating 11 years of marriage on February 17, 2023. She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor and selfless concern for others.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Sonya. She loved making memories and spending time on her back porch with family and friends. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily routine and her personality was contagious to everyone she met. Sonya is survived by her husband, Cody; her son, Hunter and his fiancé Bryanna; her mother, Julia Elizabeth White; her three dogs; and countless friends who became her family. She is preceded in death by her father, William Charles Creel and her sweet fur baby Nella.

Instead of a traditional funeral, Sonya has requested a Celebration of Life. Organizers of the event are also requesting that attendees wear Auburn sportswear or her favorite colors (hunter green & purple) in honor of our friend.
