Shelia Ann Willoughby, cherished by her beloved family, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at CRMC. Born on August 6, 1957, in Alabama.
Sheila's love for nature was often spent outdoors, finding joy in feeding animals and basking in the beauty of her surroundings. Known for her quick wit and sassy charm, she possessed a lively personality that made gatherings a delight for all who knew her. Above all, Shelia deeply treasured her family and found her greatest happiness in their company and in her devoted husband.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Barry Willoughby; her parents, Jack and Inez Cindy Blaylock Ayers; and her brother, Danny Ayers. Their memories remain forever intertwined with hers, a testament to a life filled with love and connection.
Shelia leaves behind a large and loving family, including her children: Eli (Tracy) Hood, Tara (Wesley) Alldredge, Todd Willoughby, Cole Willoughby, Missie Knight, and Mamie Pound. She is also survived by her brothers Jack (Diane) Ayers and Jerry Ayers, and sister Leta Miller. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Dakota and Jamie Morgan, Cameron Morgan, Ross and Maggie Bailey, Jacob and Hannah Bailey, Allison Alldredge, Dawson and Sterling Alldredge, Ashley and Chris Ralph, Kelli and Adam Tuley, Eren and Salma Horton, Ethan Knight, Christian Knight, Murphy Pound, Theo Pound, Lauren Willoughby, Parker Willoughby, and Caroline Blue Willoughby. Great-grandchildren Waylon Morgan, Haizley Morgan, Stetson Bailey, Silas Bailey, Paxton Alldredge, Drennen Alldredge, Vera Hall, Valyn Hall, and Alden Tuley also proudly carry forward her memory. Many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends remain touched by her life and spirit.
A funeral service to honor Shelia Ann Willoughby’s life will be held on June 20, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cullman Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 461 US-278, Cullman, AL, 35055. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-2 p.m. Interment will be in Cullman City Cemetery. Wesley Alldredge will officiate.
