Mr. Roy Payton Burroughs, 70, of Falkville passed away December 1, 2025 at Falkville Health & Rehab.  He was born December 3, 1954 to Robert Corbell & Elizabeth Adell Martin Burroughs.

Mr. Burroughs was preceded in death by his parent, and his wife, Phyllis Burroughs.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Melton (Terry Massey); step-son, Sean Welch (Lucie); sisters, Lucinda Faye Stroud (James), Regina Rabon (Michael); grandchildren, Jacob Melton, Savanna Massey, Ethan Massey, Grace & Jackson Welch, Abigail Welch, Zach Welch, Ella Welch; a host of family and friends.

Mr. Burroughs was a missionary to the elderly and handicapped and had a nursing home ministry.  He loved working in the church.  He loved to fish and play card games with his family and friends.
