Funeral service for Robert Allen Shoemaker, 89, of the Blair Community will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 9th, 2025 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Blair.  Rev. Steve Rodgers will officiate.

Mr. Shoemaker was born July 11, 1935 to Robert H. & Verna McAbee Shoemaker.  He was affectionately  known as "Paw Paw".  He loved writing songs, playing the guitar and making music.  He loved music, old country, bluegrass, and gospel.   He loved his family and especially his grandson.  He followed him to all his athletic events  and kept up with all his stats.  He taught him to be a machinist like he was.  Robert loved to fish, and loved old cars.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Shoemaker; sisters, Vilene Shoemaker Lynn, Joyce Shoemaker Pigg, and Reba Shoemaker Rooks.

Survivors include his daughter, Betty Jean Musmeci; brother, David Shoemaker; sister, Gail (Virgil) Dotson; grandson, Robert (Chasidy) Lipsey; great-granddaughter, Ellie Jo Lipsey; family and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Allen Shoemaker, Michael Shoemaker, Kenneth Dotson, Virgil Dotson, Kevin Shoemaker, Adam Pack.
