Funeral service for Richard Lloyd Burks, 72, of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Holly Pond Cemetery, Revs. David Chambers and Earl Harper officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 11th from 5:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Burks was born on January 12,1953, to Vester Eugene and Noreen Thelma Denton Burks. He was a faithful Christian, a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed spending time outside, fishing, signing gospel songs and spending time with friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his wife Sarah Camp Burks; son, Richard Lloyd 'J.R.' Burks, Jr.; daughters, Judy (Dewayne) Brooks and Lynn Malcom; granddaughter, Elizabeth Brooks; and a host of family and friends.
