Rebecca Morris
Eakin
Oct 15, 1948 — Jun 24, 2026
Rebecca Huddleston Morris Eakin was born on October 15, 1948, in Alabama. On June 24, 2026, she peacefully passed away at Folsom Center, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family.
Rebecca’s journey through life was characterized by her unwavering devotion to those she held dear. The beloved daughter of Charlie and Wavoline Talley Huddleston, both of whom preceded her in death, Rebecca carried forward the values and warmth instilled in her from an early age. Her gentle spirit endeared her to friends and family alike, and she was always known for her compassion and strength.
She shared her life and love with two husbands, Steve Eakin and Tommy Jones, both of whom have also passed from this life but remain significant parts of the story of her heart. Rebecca’s family grew around her, and her ability to foster close and loving relationships was evident in each generation that followed. She enjoyed her art, drawing, stained glass work, water and boating. She attended Baileyton Methodist Church.
Rebecca is survived by her devoted daughter, Kandy Widner, and son-in-law, Richard Widner. She was a cherished sister to Diann White. Rebecca’s nurturing influence extended to her grandchildren: Johnathan Ralph, Elizabeth Ralph, Andrew Knop, and Bailey Knop, each of whom knew her as a steady source of encouragement and affection. Her role as a great-grandmother brought her immense pride and happiness, and she took delight in the company of Kensley, Karoline, Olivia Ralph, Langston, and Callie Knop, her adored great-grandchildren.
Rebecca Morris Eakin’s memory will be cherished always, and her legacy continues through her loving family.
