Ralph Derriel Brooks, Sr, 92, Berlin went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 15, 2023. Welcoming him home was his wife of 65 years, Janie C. Brooks, parents Robert E and Etta Jane Brooks, son Raymond Brooks, brother Carl Brooks, and sisters Maxine Matthews and Marian Garner.

He will be missed by his son Derriel (Debra) Brooks, daughter Mari (Greg) Davis, grandson Phillip (Michelle) Brooks, granddaughters Becky (Derek) Hawkins, Jessica (Bobby) Watson, Emily (Keith) Adamson, and Ashley (Micah) Booth, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Saturday May 20, 2023, at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, Holly Pond, Alabama at 11:00 am. The visitation will be on Friday May 19, from 6-8 pm at the church. Bro. Layne Howard and Bro. Earl Harper will officiate the service. The interment will be in the Moncrief Cemetery, Gardendale, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Mission Fund at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church or to AveAnna (Comfort Care Hospice).
