Patsy Lynn (Jones) Smith passed away on September 27th in Cullman, Alabama. She was born on October 23rd, 1941 in Blountsville, Alabama to James and Sibyl Jones. She attended J.B. Pennington School, then married James Melvin Smith in 1958. They were married for 37 years until his passing in 1995.

Patsy considered her life’s work caring for the elderly. She spent years caring for the elderly including a period of time in which she owned her own assisted living facility, Amberly House. But, her proudest accomplishment was without a doubt, being Mom and Granny Patsy (G.P.) to her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

She will most likely be remembered for her humor and love of family and friends whom she wanted to be constantly surrounded by. This included cousins who were more like brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews who felt more like her own kids.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband James Melvin Smith; parents James Jones and Sibyl Pike; and brothers Jimmy Jones and Bobby Jones. She is survived by her children Tammy(Danny), Tracey(Mark), Todd, Steven, and Amber(Jeremy); nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother Billy Jones and sisters Kim Taylor and Leslie Dial.

A celebration of life will be held at Center Hill Baptist Church in Center Hill, Alabama on November 14 at 6:00 P.M.
