Funeral service for Norma Fae Neely, age 88, of Cullman, is Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2 pm at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Ed Flaig officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm and interment will be at Center Grove Cemetery.

Norma was born on February 22, 1936 to B.B. Robertson and Ruby Sherrer Robertson.  She passed from this life on Monday, May 13, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin H. Neely; her long-time companion, Dewey Absher; and five brothers and sisters.

She is survived by son, Dale Neely (Sandra); daughter, Sherri Pope (Donald); brother Wayne Robertson (Martha); grandchildren, Amanda Haley (Chris), Jonathan Neely (Kyla), Adam Pope (Eliza), Amy Jeffrey (Jeremiah), Jeremy Monroe; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

Norma was a loyal military wife, who was well-traveled, living in nine different states and five different countries throughout her life.  She is described by her family as a kind-hearted, loving, and protective wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was also known as a "firecracker" and an entrepreneur.  She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
