Misty Blakely Loyd, age 46, of Cullman, Alabama passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior on September 19th, 2026 at CRMC Hospital in Cullman, Alabama surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Etha Baptist Church, 8417 Co. Rd. 1545, Cullman, AL 35058 with interment in Center Grove Cemetery, 4607 Co. Rd. 1545, Cullman, AL 35058, Dr. Tim Lipsey, Bro. Steve Rodgers, Bro. Harold Coe will officiate. The body will lie in state at the church from 11-1. Visitation will be Monday evening at Cullman Funeral Home, 461 U.S. Hwy 278 E, Cullman, AL 35055 from 5-8 p.m.

Misty was born on June 19th, 1980 to Timothy Franklin and Theresa Kay Blakely.

Misty is preceded in death by her grandparents, Herbert Franklin and Ruby Ashley Blakely, Radford Rex and Faye Cornelius Crawford; mother-in-law, Sheila Jean Loyd and very close friend, Heather Garrison.

Misty is survived by her husband of ten years, Jonathan Trent Loyd, only son, Jonathan Bentley Loyd; father, Timothy (Tammy) Blakely; mother, Theresa (Roy) Clanton; brother, Matthew (Jessica) Blakely; nephews, Lucian (Kayla) Blakely, Grayson Blakely; father-in-law, Eugene Loyd; and, brother-in-law, Chris Loyd, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Misty was a 1998 graduate of West End High School. She was employed for 24 years at Summer’s Law Firm in Center Point, Alabama. Misty enjoyed her free time camping, the lake, traveling, cooking, helping teach kids in VBS and Sunday School, watching General Hospital, enjoying time with friends, family and especially with her husband and son. Misty had a very beautiful smile that was noticeable and Misty was loved by many family and friends.

In September 2025, Misty was diagnosed with breast cancer which she fought very courageously until the lord completely healed her and called her home to be with Him.

Pallbearers will be Lucian Blakely, Grayson Blakely, Mark Crawford, Jeremy Summers, Chris Loyd, Rusty Jennings, Shane Brown and Tim Lollar. Honorary pallbearers will be Griffin Eddy, Brian Drake, Mickey Gay, Cordale Gay, Cody Harris, Tony Gay, Matthew Blakely.
