Mrs. Goodwin was born December 1, 1938 to Ottis Patterson and Nancy Jones Patterson.  She passed from this life on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nolan Goodwin; brothers, Paul Patterson, and Cecil Patterson; sisters, Imogene Palegro, and Peggy Crocker.

She is survived by one son, Rickey Johns; one daughter, Sasonja Whitley; two brothers, James Patterson (Becky), and David Patterson (Susan); three grandchildren, Kristie Roberson (Kevin), Felecia Cook (Lee), Amanda McDuffee (Michael); great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Harper, Emily Roper, Ethan Cook, Savannah Shockley, Gregory Shockley, Steven Roper; a host of family and friends.
