Graveside service for Kevin Rutledge Parks, age 61, of Birmingham, will be Monday, November 13, 2023 at 11am at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.

Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

Mr. Parks passed from this life on Monday, November 6, 2023.  He was born June 6, 1962 to Elmer Gene Parks and Jane Rutledge Parks Kerr.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, S.D. Parks and Marie Champion Parks, Grady Rutledge and Clara Carter Rutledge.

He is survived by his sister, Jeanne (Johnny) Reid; nieces, Kristin Marcrum, Brooke (Adam) Madison, Ashley (Wesley) Dabbs; great-nieces and nephews, Evan Marcrum, Cayman Brown, Cooper-Beckett Madison, Mason Dabbs, Paisley Dabbs.

Kevin is well remembered for being a talented songwriter and a music lover.  He was acquainted with celebrities such as Minnie Pearl, Barbara Mandrell, and Sonny James while he lived and worked as a physical therapist assistant at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.  He loved to collect vinyl records and took much pride in them.  He will be very missed by all who knew and loved him.
