Funeral services for John Edward Watkins, 71, of Hanceville, will be at 12 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Bethlehem Cemetery, Bro. Johnny Bennefield officiating. The family will receive friends from 10am-12pm before the service.

Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

Mr. Watkins was born on May 4, 1954, to Archie Robert and Onzell Marjorie Watkins. He was a member of Vinemont Church of God and loved his church family. His most prized possession was his Bible.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Wayne Watkins; and his sister, Margie Hill.

Survivors include his brother, Randy Watkins; sisters, Linda Sue (Herman) Haney, Betty (Ricky) Smith, Bonnie Watkins; great-aunt Mary White; special niece and nephew, Michelle (Daniel) Todd; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and church family.

In lieu of flowers the family request the donations be made to Vinemont Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Farr, Daniel Todd, Stephen Todd, Evan Todd, Lane Blackmon and Anthony Blackmon.
