Graveside service for Jerry Michael Simmons, Sr., age 72, of Cullman, will be Monday, January 29, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Springhill Baptist Church, with Bro. John McKoy officiating.  Mr. Simmons will lie in state at the church from 1-2 pm prior to the service.

Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

Mr. Simmons was born November 7, 1951, to Huel Simmons and Ovis Smith Simmons.  He passed from this life on January 25, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Michael Simmons, Jr. (Desiree); sister Pam Constance (Randy); two grandchildren, Makenzie Simmons-Henson (Cole), Laci Simmons; great-grandchild, Colton Henson; nieces, Ashley Constance-Thigpen (Chase), Michelle Constance; a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Mattox, Shannon Mattox, Lane Mattox, Sean Mattox, Randy Constance, Jared Grisom.

Jerry was known by friends and family to have never met a stranger.  He loved everyone and was loved by everyone.  He was an avid deer gun hunter and hunted every chance he got.  He served our country bravely in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a door gunner.  His service is much appreciated.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
