Funeral service for James Douglas Smith, 77, of Cullman will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 9th, 2023 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service. Rev. Steve Rodgers will officiate.

Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Smith passed away Friday, July 7th, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 9, 1945 to Rosco & Bannie Lee Hornsby Smith. He was a truck driver for American Protein for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lessie McClendon, Willodean Smith, Velmer Todd, Thelma Todd, Elizabeth Burns; brothers, Benjamin Smith, Edward Smith; son, James Lamar Smith; daughter, Lucinda Brown.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Angie Smith;  son, Kevin Everett; daughter, Angela (Tracy) Hulsey; grandkids, Kayla (Patrick) Clowers, Zach (Kelsey) Hancock, Robyn (Justin) Roberts, Josh (Katie) Smith, Daquari (David) Bishop, Jessica (Scott) Rutherford, Delana Everett, Devin (Hannah) Everett, Destinie (Zach) Drake, Tuff Everett, Annabella Everett, Christian (Maresa) Hulsey; brother, J.D. (Sue) Smith; sister, Vonda (Nellie) McGriff; 21 great-grandkids; host of family and friends
