A Celebration of Life service for James Milton 'Buddy' Abbott, 80, of Hanceville will be at 1 p.m., May 17th, 2025 at Valley Springs Baptist Church.

Mr. Abbott passed away April 28, 2025 at Hanceville Nursing Home & Rehab.  He was born October 17, 1944 to Carl & Ruby Busby Abbott.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Mike, Danny, Ernest 'Bud' Abbott; three sisters, Sis Bailey, Marie Alexander, Olita Clark.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Linda Abbott; sons, Steve (Teresa) Abbott, Michael (Christy) Abbott, Jeffrey Stanford; brother, Anthony (Doris) Abbott; sisters, Geneva (John) Sellers, Maxine Graves, Carol (Paul) Payne; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
