Funeral service for Imogene Shannon Duke Garrard, age 95, of Cullman, is Monday, July 1, 2024, at 12 pm at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Richard Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 am-12 pm at the chapel and interment will be at Valley Springs Cemetery.

Imogene was born on March 16, 1929 to Edward Shannon and Rachel Bales Shannon. She passed from this life on June 26, 2024, surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Duke and husband, Tom Garrard; three sons, James Duke, Jr., Terry Lee Duke, and Denny Ray Duke; and a number of brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Robert Duke (Joyce); daughter, Doris Duke Jacobes; sisters, Hazel Self, and Peggy Sue Shackles; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Imogene will be very missed by all who loved and knew her.
