Harlan Michael Smith, 63, of Falkville, Alabama passed away Sunday June 22, 2025.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Susan Pevahouse Smith; sons Adam Heaton and Michael-Paul Smith; Mother Martha Ann Smith; Sisters Wanda Smith Wilson and Karen Smith Moon; and Granddaughter Addison Heaton. He was preceded in death by his father Harlan Oliver Smith and Brother Edward Wayne Smith.

Michael was a multifaceted person. He was so many things to so many people. A Christian, who knew the word and could talk the text. A skilled craftsman with his background in electronics as well as being an iron worker.

He was a member, and a Past Master, of a local Masonic Lodge. In addition, to the Masonic Lodge, he was a member of the Scottish Rite, Shriners, and the Elk's Lodge. Michael enjoyed working with these community service organizations.

In addition to serving the community, he loved music. Michael loved to play guitar. He played music with family members and friends. He had a real passion for music. It made an impact on many of the people who knew him.

Perhaps the thing Michael liked most was spending time with family and friends. His laugh was infectious and could be heard at most functions. He had family members, co-workers, and friends who loved him. Michael was a multifaceted person, who left a great impression on many loved ones.

Visitation for Michael Smith will be June 26 from 5 PM-8 PM at Cullman Funeral Home. Service will be June 27 11 AM at Cullman Funeral Home. Graveside internment will follow after the service and be held at Ebenezer Cemetery (Morgan County).
