Funeral service for Glenda Gail Hood Bates, 77, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 17 ^th , 2022 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Valley Springs Cemetery, Rev. Herman Pair officiating.  Visitation will be from 12-2 prior to the funeral.

Ms Bates passed away Saturday, March 12 ^th , 2022 at her residence.  She was born June 25, 1944 to James Irvin & Eva Peak Hood.  Glenda was a very giving, considerate, kind, funny person who loved her family.  She always put God first in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Irvin Hood, Jr., Jerald Hood; and a sister, Hilda Jones.

Survivors include her son, Jeff (Rhonda) Bates; daughters, Sherri Shelby, Kerri Bingaman; brothers, Roger (Vicki) Hood, Darrell (Faye) Hood; grandchildren, Logan (Abby) Bates, Hanna Bates (Austin Pate), Samantha Bingaman, Lona Shelby, Destiny Bingaman, Megan Self; great-grandchildren, Ayden Bates, Cayson Bates, Adalynn Pate, Ace Pate, Baylor Bates, Ryan Lee Welborne; family and friends.
