Funeral services for Gary Wayne Hays, 79, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2025, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:30-8pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Hays was born on December 1, 1945, to parents, Thomas Edgar and Dorothy Christine Hamilton Hays. Gary retired from Loperex, and in his spare time he painted houses and worked on cars. He enjoyed fishing and loved his family above all else, especially his grandson.

Mr. Hays was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, David Hays and Thomas Hays.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Hays; his sons, Wayne Hays and Michael Hays; grandson, Nicholas Hays; and a host of family and friends.
