Funeral service for Eric Maynard Segars, 57, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m., Monday, December 22nd, 2025 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Antioch Baptist Cemetery, Pastor Tim Barbee and Pastor Jim Butts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12-2 p.m.

Eric passed from this life Thursday, December 18th, 2025.  He was born April 22, 1968 to George Thomas and Joyce Ann Maynard Segars.   He went to Fairview High School and graduated in 1986.  He went straight into Wallace to get his degree in the machine shop.  Afterward he went to PEMCO Aeroplex in 1989 where he worked for 25 plus years as a precision machinist.  During that time he was involved in union matters where he served as Union Steward.  He loved serving his community as a volunteer firefighter and rapid responder.  He grew up attending Antioch Baptist Church where he still served on the cemetery committee.  Eric was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Fairview.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Segars.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Joyce Maynard Segars; wife, Gwen Segars; son, Levi (Lora) Segars; daughters, Hattie (Daniel) Huffman, Katherine (Cody) Clark; grandson, Carter Garrett and one grandchild on the way (Lora & Levi); family and friends.
