Elizabeth Sharon Hughes, a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on January 7, 2025 in the Cardiovascular Surgery Unit of UAB hospital. She was born on August 24, 1946 in San Bernardino, CA.

Sharon was the heart of our family and will be missed profoundly. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 58 years, Alfred Hughes, their two children, Robert (Adriana) Hughes, and Jennifer (Barry) Tillman, and four grandchildren, Kayla (Brandon) Lester, Noah (Hannah) Tillman, Mikaela Hughes and Benjamin Hughes, and great-granddaughter, Natalie Jo Elizabeth Tillman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma (Vaughn) and William Hicks, sister, Joann Hammond, and brother, Joe Hicks.

A private family service will be held at Cullman City Cemetery on Friday, January 17, 2025.
