Earnest John Walling, age 95, passed from this life on March 19, 2024.  He was born and raised in Pikeville, Tennessee and resided in Hanceville, AL.  Mr. Walling was born to Alfred John Walling and Audie Byrd Walling on July 18, 1928.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Archie Walling, Ray Walling, Taylor Walling; sisters Judy Rohn, Ada Wheler, and Vera Hogan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Arlene Edwards Walling; sons, Ken Walling (Mamie), Barry Walling (Tinna); daughter, Jana Walling Calvert (Marlin); brother, Carrol Walling; sister, Alberta Kelley; grandchildren, Chris Walling, Trey Walling, Jessie Calvert Jovanovic (Marko), Coy Calvert (Jessica), Nick Walling (Anna); great-grandchildren, Mila Jovanovic, Luka Jovanovic, Wade Earnest Calvert; a host of nieces and nephews; friends and family.
