Diane Patterson Entrekin, born June 28, 1950 in Lawrence county, Alabama to Edward Esco and Barviedeene Hendrix Patterson, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the age of 76.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 25th, 2026 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Riverside Cemetery in Walter, Pastor Heath Tinker officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9-11.
She leaves behind a legacy of love. Compassion, hard work and an unwavering faith in God. She loved her church and has been a member of Kingdom Life at Simcoe for 39 years. She taught children’s Sunday school for many years. One of her proudest endeavors was being the house mother at the Pilot Light Shelter for four years. In this role, she was able to take care of and plant seeds of faith for over 200 local children with many of these accepting Christ as their Savior and some being baptized. Following in her mother’s example, she would pray for you any time, any where. It didn’t matter where she was or who was watching. No matter how she was feeling, she would always say that she was blessed.
Her family and friends were her greatest joy. She always looked forward to the outings with her senior class. She loved with all of her heart. Heaven truly gained an angel.
While her family is deeply saddened by her earthly loss they find peace in knowing that she has received her heavenly rewards and is reunited with those who left before her, her parents; sister, Vicky Glispie; brother, Steven Patterson; sister-in-law, Rena Patterson; son-in-law, Matt Osborn; husband, Roger Entrekin.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her son, Allen (Teresa) Entrekin; her daughter, Stacy Osborn; grandchildren, Dylan (Alaina) Entrekin, Caleb Entrekin, Tracy (John) Jackson, Keith (Sabrina) Jackson; brother, James Patterson; sister, Kathy Patterson; brothers-in-law, Howard Glispie and Tim (Brandy) Entrekin, and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends and her beloved fur son, Tom Kitty
The family would like to extend their most profound gratitude to all that participated in her care.
Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
