Funeral service for Coy T. Jones, age 83, of Vinemont, is Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Tim Aris officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. at the chapel and interment will be at Crossroads Cemetery in West Point.

Mr. Jones was born on May 29, 1941, to Alvah Duncan Jones and Adry Morton Jones.  He passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Woodland Village Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers and sisters; the mother of his children, Patricia Jones.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Anita Reese Jones; sons, Jerome Jones (Jennifer), Coy Timothy Jones, Samuel Paul Jones (Melinda), Derrick Hutson (C.J.); daughter, Sandra Ann Green (Mark); grandchildren, Brandon Jones, Tasha Sargent (P.J.), Nathaniel Green, Felicia Dunnam (Jake), Ian Jones, Hayden Coy Jones, Sheridan Jones, Mackenzie Hudson, Reese Hudson, Cheyenne Vest, James Hale; nine great-grandchildren and two more on the way; a host of nieces and nephews, friends and family.

Serving as pallbearers are Coy's sons and grandsons: Paul Jones, Tim Jones, Derrick Hutson, Ian Jones, Brandon Jones, Hayden Jones, and honorary pallbearer, Jerome Jones.

Family remembers Coy as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.  He had many hobbies like fishing, woodworking, especially cabinet making, playing bass in the gospel group he was a part of, singing, and spending time with his family and friends.  He treasured his time with his best friends, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ogles, whom he was very close with.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
