Funeral service for Betty Guthery Shikle, 84 , of Cullman will be at 12 noon, Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Mt. Vernon Congregational Methodist Church, 3115 County Road 1069 Vinemont, AL 35179, with interment in adjoining cemetery, Bro. Steton Hayes officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 -12 before the service.

Mrs. Shikle was born on January 23, 1941, to parents, B. and Estelle Parker James. She loved her family and was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed playing softball and working in her garden and with her flowers. She worked at Fly Manufacturing in Hartselle and Oneita in Cullman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin Coolidge Guthery; grandson, Jason Taylor; two brothers, Bill and Bobby James; son-in-law Roger Kelsoe

Survivors include her son, Kevin Guthery; daughter, Starlet Kelsoe; sister-in-law, Dianne James; grandchildren, Brandon Jarrett, Crystal (Aaron) Speakman, Whitney (Chad) Trammell, Sage (Jasmyne) Guthery; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Carlee, Destiny, Jase, Hunter, Adalynn, Macie, Arleigh, August, and Georgie; and a host family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chad Trammell, Tristan Bennett, Aaron Lindsey, Hunter Trammell, Sage Guthery, and Jase Speakman.
