Funeral services for Rev. James ‘Bro. Jim’ Palmer, 76 of Falkville will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 12th, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church with interment in East Lawrence Memorial Garden, Rev. Randy Makemson and Dr. Charles Richards officiating.

Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Bro. Palmer passed away Saturday, June 9th, at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He was born September 23, 1935 to Edward Elbert & Pearl Ann Parker Palmer. He was ordained into the ministry in 1975 and has pastored churches in Cullman County since 1980, including Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Midway Baptist Church and New Hope North Baptist Church. He earned the Bachelor of Bible Theology Degree from the International Bible Institute and Seminary in Plymouth, Florida in 1987. His life revolved around the Gospel ministry and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, June L. Palmer; two daughters, Lisa (Leroy) Dunn, Annette (Randy) Johnson; a brother, Ervin (Janice) Palmer; four grandchildren, Alexis Fox, Sgt. James Todd Young, Taylor O. Dunn, Haley Johnson; great granddaughter, Lily Marie Fox; nephew, Don (Candace) Palmer; niece, Sylina (the late Mark) Richards and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday evening at Faith Baptist Church from 5:30 – 9 p.m.
